Answer by oberobic(2304) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(40 miles/hr) / (60 min/hr) = 2/3 mile/min
.
The light had been red for 30 seconds = 1/2 minute
.
1/2 min * 2/3 mile/min = 1/3 mile
.
1/3 mile * 5280 ft/mile = 1760 ft
Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
