Question 517771: determine the exceleration of a car which increases its velocity from 22mph to 34mph in 2.5 seconds
a=v-u/t

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It's acceleration.
-----
a = change in speed/time
= (34-22)/2.5
= 4.8 mi/hr/sec
----------------
Not the usual units, change mi/hr to ft/sec
15 mi/hr = 22 ft/sec (I remember that, you can confirm it if you like)
4.8:15::v:22
15v = 105.6
v = 7.04 ft/sec
-----------
a = 7.04 ft/sec/sec
