Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A car covers the first 39 km of its journey in 45 minutes and covers the remaining 25 km in 35 minutes.
What is the average speed of the Car?
:
Total distance of the trip: 39+25 = 64
Total time of the trip: 45 + 35 = 80 min
Change 80 min to hrs = 1/60 = 1.333 hrs
:
Average speed = dist/time
= 48 mph
