Question 505165: A train passes a station at 30 km/h. How would you find it's speed in m/s.?
Answer by geetha_rama(94)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Speed = 30km/hr
In 1 hour distcnce covered is 30km
i.e., in 60 mins distance covered = 30km
60 mins distcance covered = 30 *1000 meters
60 * 60 secs distance covered = 30000 metres
3600 sec distance covered = 30000 meters
1 sec discance covered = 30000/3600 meter
= 300/36
= 50/6
= 8.33 meters
Hence speed = 8.33 m/s
