Question 504365: if lake is 60 miles away, and the car is running 40 miles per hour, how many minutes will it take to get there
Answer by Maths68(1474)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Time = ? (in Minutes)
Distance = 60 miles
Speed = 40 miles per hour
or
Speed = 40 miles per (1*60)minute [ To change hour into minutes we have to multiply by 60)
Now
Speed = 40miles/60 minutes
Speed = 2miles/3 minutes
Formula for calculating time
Distance = Speed * time
60=2/3 * time
60 (3/2)=time
30 * 3 = time
time = 90minutes
