the conversion factor is:
1 miles = 1.609344 kilometers
60 miles is therefore equal to 1.609344 * 60 = 96.56064 kilometers per hour.

In this problem, there is no any need to express the converted speed into scientific notation.

In such problems, nobody, never and nowhere expresses the speed in scientific notation.
It is a bad style to express it in this form.

It tells me that a person who composed it,
is not familiar on how to write properly in Math.
