Question 498729: Two buses leave Philadelphia at the same time and travel in opposite directions. One bus averages 55 mph, and the other 65 mph. When will they be 360 miles apart?
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Bus I traveled east at 55 m/hr
and bus II traveled west at 65 m/hr.
they are moving away. So add up speeds . 120 = 120 m/h
Distance = 360 m
time = distance / time
time= 360/120
time = 3 hours
