Question 495650: Simpson drives his car with an average velocity of 46.2 km/h to the east. How long will it take him to drive 159 km on a straight highway? Answer in units of h
I tried multiplying the 46.2 time the 159 kilometers because thats what i got by manipulating the formula of average velocity which is displacement/total time traveled, but i got 7,345.8 and that is way too long..

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simpson drives his car with an average velocity of 46.2 km/h to the east. How long will it take him to drive 159 km on a straight highway? Answer in units of h
--------------
d = r*t
t = d/r
t = 159 km/46.2 km/hr
--------------------
I tried multiplying the 46.2 time the 159 kilometers because thats what i got by manipulating the formula of average velocity which is displacement/total time traveled, but i got 7,345.8 and that is way too long..
------------
46.2 km * 159 km/hr --> some number with units of km^2/hr
km^2/hr is obviously wrong. Use the units to see if you're doing it the right way.
