Question 492589: During a morning run you covered a distance of 3.0 miles in 30 minutes. What is your pace in kilometers per hour (km/h)?
Answer by Maths68(1474) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Speed=distance/time
Here
S=Speed=?
D=Distance=3miles
Time=30minutes
Changing miles into Kilometers
1mile=1.6092km
3miles=3* 1.6092
3miles=4.8276km
Changing minutes in hours
1hour=60minutes
Divide by 2 both sides
1/2hour=60/2 minutes
0.5hour=30 minutes
Now put the values in the following formula
S=D/T
S=4.8276km/0.5hour
S=9.655 km/h
