Hello there:  It has been a while since I touched word problems and I am
attempting to assist my son.  Would appreciate your help.  Thanks in advance.

Problem:  Jessica and  Vickie went to walk their dogs.  They parted from the
same place and walked the same distance.  Jessica made it in 4 minutes.  Vickie
made it in 6 minutes.  How long before they meet at the starting point?

Something is wrong with the way this one is worded. Otherwise there is nothing
to do because Vickie will be back at the starting point in 6 minutes to meet
Jessica, who has been waiting there at the starting point 2 minutes.

Please copy the problem as it is worded exactly and repost.  If that is the way
it is worded, then it is simply not a valid algebra problem and should be
ignored.
