Jaunita speed = y
same direction
y-x catch up speed of Roberto
Catch up distance = 4.4
t=d/r
11= 4.4/(y-x)
y-x= 4.4/11
y-x = 0.44.............1
..
opposite direction combined speed = x+y
distance =4.4
meeting time = 1 hour
4.4/(x+y)=1
x+y = 4.4.................2
add 1 & 2
2y=4.84
y = 2.42 mph speed of Roberto
y-x = 0.44
plug value of y
2.42-x=0.44
-x=-1.98
x= 1.98 mph speed of Jaunita
