current speed = x mph
speed against current 51 - x
speed with current 51 + x
Distance against wind 336 miles
Distance with wind 480 miles
t=d/r time against = time with
336/(51-x)=480/(51+x)
336(51+x)=480(51-x)
17136+336x=24480-480x
480x+336x= 7344
816 x = 7344
/ 816
x = 9 mph current speed
