let the no. of miles rode on saturday be "x"
then the number of miles rode on sunday wud be = 9 + (2/3)x
totally he rides = 69 miles
i.e,
saturday + sunday = 69

thus,
on saturday he rides 36 miles
and on sunday = the remaining of 69 miles, i.e 69-36=33 miles
