Question 461880: Two cars are 192 mi apart and travel toward each other on the same road. They meet in 2 hr. One car travels 4mph faster than the other. What is the average speed of each car?
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
speed of one car = xmph
other car =x+4 mph
They are travelling in opposite direction
add their speed
= 2x+4
d= 192
t= 2 hours
192=2*(2x+4)
192=4x+8
184=4x
x=46 mph
other car 50 mph
