If a driver leaves now and drives 66km/h, he will reach town A just in time. On the other hand, if he has lunch first and leaves in 40 min, he will have to drive at 90 km/h to make it on time. How far is the town A?

Answer by jorel1380(3719)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3/2(x+x+4)=60
3(2x+4)=120
2x+4=40
2x=36
x=18
Mark rode at 18 kph, and Andrew rode at 22 kph
---------------------------------
x/66=x/90+2/3
x/22=x/30+2
30x=22x+1320
8x=1320
x=165 kilometers
165/66=2.5
165/90+2/3=165/90+60/90=225/90=2.5
