Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the Concorde was traveling 2250 miles in 2 hours and 15 mins how fast was it going?
.
First convert "2 hours and 15 mins" into hours:
2 + 15/60 = 2 + 1/4 = 2 + .25 = 2.25 hours
.
2250 miles per 2.25 hours
or
2250/2.25 miles/hour
multiplying numerator and denominator by 100:
225000/225 miles/hour
1000 mph
