Question 432670: if you have 10 children that need to go to a baseball game and a car that can only carry 4 children at one time. How many one-way trips will it take to get them all there if you stay and watch the game?

If you have 10 children, and can only take 4 at a time, then you have to make at least 10/4 trips, or 2.5 trips. Since it's impossible to take a 1/2 trip, and you have to go both ways, you need to make 6 one-way trips to get all the children to the game. Get a bigger car.
