traveling a total of 1500 miles: 1500/10mipgal = 150gal
150gal/55gal tank = 2.7 tanks (rounded to nearest tenth)

First, I figure out the units without numbers
(tanks of gas) = (miles) / (miles/gallon) / (gallons / tank)
