Kathy 6 mph
Tom 10 mph
Kathy will have covered 50 m before Tom starts

catch up distance=50 m
catch up speed = 10-6 m/s
catch up speed = 4 m/s

Catchup time = catchup distance/catch up speed
catch up time= 50/4
catch up time= 12.5 seconds
