Question 41942: AN airline passenger fell asleep halfway to her destination. When she awoke, the distance remaining was half the distance traveled while she slept. How much of the entire trip did she sleep?
I don't even know how to set this one up.

I did it with a diagram...
Since she fell asleep halfway thru the trip, she had halfway to go...
Now when she awoke the distance remaining must have been 1/3 of the half, since double that was what she slept...so
She was awake for 1/2 the trip, then
She slept for 1/3 of the trip, then
She was awake for last 1/6 of the trip.
The answer is 1/3.
