Question 419041: Train A has a speed 15 miles per hour greater than that of Train B. If Train A travels 150 miles in the same time Train B travels 120 miles, what are the speeds of the two trains?
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Train speed of B =x 120 miles
Train speed ofA=x + 15 150 miles
t=d/r
120/x=150/(x+15)
120(x+15)=150*x
120x+1800=150x
150x-120x=1800
30x=1800
/30
x=60 Train speed of B
75 Train speed of A
