Distance=?; Rate=5mph ; Time=x hrs.
Joan Data:
Distance=?; Rate=8 mph; Time=x-1/2 hrs.
EQUATIon:
Jeff distance = Joan distance
5x=8(x-1/2)
5x=8x-4
-3x=-4
x=4/3 hrs. = 80 minutes
