An airplane can travel 1350 miles with the wind in 6 hours and can travel the same distance against the wind in 9 hours. What is the speed of the aircraft? What is the speed of the wind?
--------------
1350/6 = 225 mph
1350/0 = 150 mph
The airspeed is the average (225+150)/2 = 187.5 mph
The windspeed is the difference = 225 - 187.5 = 37.5 mph
