5. A comet is flying at a speed of 400 m/s when it reaches the earth’s orbit and starts accelerating toward the earth with a=30 m/s2 for time t=8 s. What is its final speed?
-------------------
30 m/sec/sec x 8 seconds = 240 m/sec
400 + 240 = 640 m/sec
