Archilles will have to wait 1 hour because if the tortoise has a 1 mile head start. It will take 60 minutes for the turtle to go a mile.
Archilles running at 10 miles an hour runs a mile every minutes.... so after minutes 6 Archilles has ran a mile but wait the tortoise has traveled 1/10 of a mile so Archilles has to catch up it would take him 45 seconds to go the 1/10 of a mile then another 6-8 seconds pass the tortoise.
So after about 1 hour and 7 minutes Archilles would catch up and pass the tortoise. Then at that point for every mile the tortoise covers Archilles will cover 10 until they stopped running.
