Question 379350: Going 4 mph, for 50 miles, how many hours do you travel? I am not sure whether I should multiply or divide. I thought 4 miles= 1 hour so 2 miles = 30 minutes and 8 miles = 2 hours so 10 miles = 1 hour and 30 minutes times 5 so 50 miles is 1 hour and 15 minutes.Am I correct? If not, please explain.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Going 4 mph, for 50 miles, how many hours do you travel?
----
time = distance/rate
---
time = 50 miles/[4 miles/hr]
time = (50/4) hrs
-----
time = 12.5 hrs
