*Note distance = r*t or t = d/r
Let x be the diatnace the 65mph truck went. then (180-x) is distance reamaining for the other.
time being the same for each:***

cross mulitply and solve for x
55x = 65(180mi-x)
55x = 65*180mi -65x
120x = 11700mi
x = 97.5 mi is the distance of the faster vehicle, the other 82.5 mi
checking our answer
97.5/65mph = 82.5/55mphr = 1.5hr (time each traveled befor meeting)
