Question 350547: A car traveling at 10 m/s hits the accelerator and speeds up uniformly to 20 m/s in 2.0 s. How far does it go? What is the acceleration?
Answer by nyc_function(2741) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
During that time of acceleration the average speed was :-
= (10 + 20)/2 = 15 m/s
Therefore the distance covered is :-
s = (15)(2) = 30 m
Acceleration :- a = (20-10)/2 = 5m/s'2
