Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
width be x
length = 2x-10
perimeter = 280 yards
..
Perimeter = 2*(L+W)
2*(x+2x-10)=280
2*(3x-10)=280
/2
3x-10=140
3x=140+10
3x=150
/3
x=150/3
x= 50 yards width
length = 2x-10= 2*50-10
=90 yards length
