Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a train goes with speed 90km/hr crosses a platform of length 160m in 10sec,
what is length of the train?
:
Change the speed of the train to meter/sec
= 25 m/sec
:
In 10 sec, the train travels 250 meters
therefore
Train length = 250 - 160 = 90 meters
:
Thinking this out:
The front of train requires 160/25 = 6.4 sec to clear the platform
The leaves 3.6 sec for the rest of the train to clear the platform
3.6 * 25 = 90 meters
