Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let smaller number by x
larger number be y
..
7y-8=4x
7y-4x=8--------------1
..
3x+19= 2y
3x-2y=-19------------2
..
multiply equation 1 by 2 & equation 2 by 7 and add the equations
2(7y-4x)+7(3x-2y)=16+(-133)
14y-8x+21x-14y=--117
13x=-117
x=-9
plug the value of y in equation 1
7y-4*-9=8
7y=-28
y=-4
