Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If a car traveled for 3 hours at /r/mph and increased the speed by 10 mph and traveled for 1 more hour, how far did the car travel?
:
Dist = speed * time
therefore
dist traveled in 3 hr at r mph = 3r
:
dist traveled in 1 hr at (r+10) = 1(r+10)
:
Total dist = 3r + (r+10)
Total Dist = 4r+10, traveled in 4 hrs
