You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Rate*Time=Distance
Convert your distance to miles.
420 ft (1 mile/5280 ft)=0.079545 mile
R%2At=D
45%2At=0.079545
t=0.0017677 hours
1 hr=3600 seconds
t=0.0017677 hrs*(3600 sec/1 hr)=6.36 sec

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1 mile = 5,280 feet
1 hour = 3600 seconds
if 1 mile/hr = %285280ft%29%2F3600s = 1.4666ft/s
then 45 miles/hr= 23760ft%2F3600s=420ft%2Fxs = 23760x=420%283600%29 = 23760x=151200 = x=6.363636 seconds

First convert 45 miles per hour to feet per second. The first step to that conversion is to do a quick calculation in your head so that you will know that the calculated answer is reasonable. Half of 45 rounded down is 22, 22 plus 45 is 67 -- so 67 feet per second is a good estimate of 45 miles per hour. Now do it with the calculator.

Comparing that result to the "in the head estimate" tells us we are on the right track.

Now all you need to do is divide 420 feet by 66 feet per second. I'll leave that arithmetic up to you.
