how fast does Hilary walk?
:
Let s = rate of H's walk
then
2s = rate of horses walk
:
Write a time equation, time = dist/rate
:
ride time + walk time = 4 hrs
+ = 4
Multiply by 2s
8 + 2(8) = 4(2s)
8 + 16 = 8s
8s = 24
s = 3 mph H walks
