If a trucker drove 30mph for 1 hour, that would be 30 miles traveled. Next, if the trucker drove 55mph for 2 hours, you would figure that he traveled 55 miles multiplied by 2 hours, which equals 110 miles traveled. Last, add 30 miles and 110 miles, that equals 140 miles traveled.
