Question 269745: How long, in minutes would it take for a train to travel a distance of 50 kilometres, if its speed was 33 metres per second [120 kph] and how would you go about writing it on paper.
Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
50 km = 50000 meters
--------------
33 m/sec = 33*60 = 1980 m/minute
50000 meters/1980 m/min =~ 25.25 minutes.
-------------------
I don't know why the 120 kph is mentioned.
To write it on paper, I'd use a pen or a pencil.
