Question 268082: In 2005 a planet was found revolving about a distant sunlike star in 4.55days. The radius of it's orbit is 2,500,000 mi. What is it's linear velocity (in mi/hr) about it's star? Round to the nearest thousandth as needed.
I am stuck on this please help me? Thank you!

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4.55 days = 109.2 hours
----------
Orbit = 2500000*2*pi =~ 15707963 miles
15707963 miles/109.2 hours =~ 143,845.818 mi/hr
------------------
The Earth's orbital speed is ~ 67,000 mph
----------------
PS it's = it is
Use its for possessive
