When the car starts at 2:30, the jogger has been going for 30 minutes and has therefore gone 5 miles.
The difference is speeds is 55 - 10 = 45 mph, the question reduces to how long does it take a car going at 45 mph take to do 5 miles.
Answer is 5/45 = 1/9 hour or 6 2/3 minutes
