If a plane can travel 440mph into the wind and 500mph with the wind, find the speed of the wind and the speed of the plane in still air.
-------
a = airspeed of the plane
w = wind speed
a+w = 500
a-w = 440
---------- Add
2a = 940
a = 470 mph
-------
w = 30 mph
