depends on the distance traveled.

if its highway miles, the buses travel about 55 to 70 miles an hour.

if it suburban streets, the buses travel somewhere between 20 and 40 miles an hour.

if it's heavy city traffic, they might only travel 15 to 30 miles an hour, sometimes even less depending on the congestion.

if you know the miles, then you can calculate the speed.

suppose the miles are 20.

7:40 to 9:00 is 1 hour and 20 minutes which is 1.33 hours.

20 miles divided by 1.33 hours would be 15 miles an hour.

15 miles per hour * 1.33 hours = 20 miles.

I would suggest that you left out some important info such as how far the bus went.
But in general, the speed would be slower than molasses in January.
You could probably walk faster.
The trip took 1 hour and 20 minutes of your life away.
