the magnitude of the mass has no effect (remember Galileo!!...)

time = velocity / acceleration

distance = 1/2 * acceleration * (time)^2

substituting ___ distance = 1/2 * (velocity)^2 / acceleration

sqrt(2 * acceleration * distance) = velocity

sqrt(2 * 9.8 * 12) = v ___ 15 = v
