Answer by Paul(988) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2(t+45)=12t
2t+90=12t
10t=90
t=9
hence, the current of still water is 9KMpH.

Paul, thanks for trying.
The answer is 3mph
The problem I was having was I could not set it up to get 3mph
here's what I was doing
(45/12-x)-(45/12+x)=2
anyone have any ideas about how to set this distance word probem up?
