Question 218663: Two automobiles travel in opposite directions from the same starting point. If the speed of one is twice the speed of the other and they are 190.0 km apart at the end of 2.0 h, what is the speed of the slower car (in m/s)?
Answer by josmiceli(19441)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If vehicles are going in opposite directions, they can be treated
as 1 vehicle going at the combined speed of both

Note that I made things easy by calling rate

This is the speed of the slower vehicle
in km/hr
km/hr x hr/sec x m/km
m/s
The slower car is going 8.796 m/sec
check answer:
m/s
