Riders go from 0 to 100 miles per hour in 7 seconds. Find the acceleration of the roller coaster during this time interval in miles per second squared.
-------------
Average acceleration, not necessarily constant,
= 100/7 miles/hr/sec
= (100/7)/3600 miles/sec^2
= 1/252 miles/sec^2
= 0.00398625 miles/sec^2
--------------------
= 20.952 ft/sec^2
= 0.655 g
