A bus traveling at an average rate of 30 miles per hour left the city at 11:45 A.M. A car following the bus at 45 miles per hour left the city at noon.At what time did the car catch up with the bus?
-----------
In the 1/4, the bus goes 30/4 miles = 7.5 miles
The car gains on the bus at 15 mph (45-30).
7.5 miles / 15 mph = 1/2 hour.
1200 + 0:30 = 12:30
