Question 2133: The question is How soon after 5 o'clock will the hands on a clock first be together? The equation is t=25 + t/25. How do I solve this?
Answer by longjonsilver(2297) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
by knowing your clock, it will be sometime just after 5:25, surely? So we are looking for a time of about 25-27 minutes.
t = 25 + t/25
25t = 625 + t
24t = 625
t = 26.04 (i take it that the equation is in minutes).
