A dog trainer has 68 ft of fencing that will be used to create a rectangular work area for dogs. If the trainer wants to enclose an area of 240 ft2, what will be the dimensions of the work area?



With area of work area being 240 ft2, we need 2 values that SUM to 34 and have a product of 240.

These values are CLEARLY 24 and 10, and are the dimensions!
