D =rt  Both Jack and Frances traveling equal distances:
Question states
(55mph)t = (80mph)(t-5)
 400 = 25t
 400/25 = t = 16hr, Jack's time
 Frances time = 11hr 
checking:  55mph*16h = 80mph*11h = 880mi checks
