I don't know if you can make anything out of the cryptic response from the other tutor.... I know I can't....

The 1km walking at 6km/h takes 1/6 of an hour.

The remaining 3km are on the bus at 30km/h, taking 1/10 of an hour.

The total time for the trip is (1/6+1/10) hours, or (10+6=16) minutes.

ANSWER A.: 16 minutes

4 km in 16 minutes is 1/4 km per minute, or (60*1/4 = 15) km/h.

ANSWER B.: 15 km/hr
