speed of boat in still water =x mph
current speed = 5mph
with current (x+5) mph====> 160 miles
against current speed (x-5)mph=====> 40 miles
160/(x+5) = 2*40/(x-5)
2/(x+5) = 1/(x-5)
2(x-5) =x+5
2x-10=x+5
x=15 mph speed of boat in still water
